Join a great team! Granite Bank is a growing community bank in Champlin, MN. This position would work on a 40 hour per week schedule; hours are Monday through Friday 7:45am to 5:15pm.

This position includes continuing training for professional growth and development.

  • Handles customer account transactions which may include verifying incoming cash, accurately dispensing cash, accepting various deposits and payments, and cashing checks.
  • Verifies account balances, provide account information to customer, and prints copies of items and/or statements from customer accounts.
  • Sell money orders.
  • Completes cash advance transactions on credit cards.
  • Answer phones and/or completes telephone transfers.
  • Responsible for incoming/outgoing wires.
  • Reconcilement.
  • Other various duties as determined by Supervisor.

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and carry out instructions.
  • Interpret, understand and write reports as needed.
  • Basic, accurate math skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

Granite Bank has an opening for a full-time teller at our Champlin branch location. This is a move-up position featuring a variety of duties including typical bank teller duties plus customer-facing operations duties including serving our business wire transfer customers, providing first-level support for our e-banking customers, and light accounting duties. The hourly compensation for this position depends on your banking experience and skills. Work hours are 40 per week, Monday through Friday, generally 7:45 am to 5:00 pm.

  • You have more than 2 years of Bank Teller experience
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • You can communicate well with customers and team members. You listen well. You can start a conversation with customers, build relationships, resolve problems, and ask questions in a friendly and professional manner that helps you identify and meet customer needs.
  • You can handle banking calculations accurately and have computer skills that include MS Office.
  • You are familiar with the bank regulations that effect the teller operations, including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Regulation CC: Expedited Funds Availability Act, CIP, etc.
  • You have studied Accounting Coursework for 1 year (Preferred)

Work Environment Characteristics:
  • Able to work on a computer keyboard. Hand dexterity required.

Commercial Loan Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: Work closely with Business Bankers to support their work with bank clients, to help deliver lending products and services, to ensure quick and accurate lien perfection, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and to ensure lending documentation is correctly archived.

Provide backup to the Senior Business Loan Assistant and works to develop a senior level of ability and responsibility with respect to the primary responsibilities in the following areas, and in other duties not listed here:
  1. Prepare accurate and complete Lending documents for business and consumer transactions using the ComplianceOne Loan Documentation system. Disburse loan proceeds as directed.
  2. Enter new commercial and consumer loans, and modifications or other changes, onto the Fiserv core banking system. Scan and index loan documents into the document imaging system. Ensures collateral is perfected appropriately including filing of mortgages, UCC’s, and vehicle lien cards. Resolve loan exception conditions as needed, including daily correction of unposted items and periodic exception reports. Receive and apply loan payments and process customer requests for credit line activity.
  3. Pull credit reports, UCC searches, flood certificates, and title work as directed. Handle disputes submitted by consumers through the E-Oscar system.
  4. Follow up on all open Tickler items and maintain a reliable and complete exception tracking system.
  5. Complete monthly and quarterly reports for the Board of Directors.
  6. Audit data entry and other work to ensure accurate and error-free results.
  7. Provide quality customer service including answering basic customer inquiries. Provide additional support to Business Bankers and Credit Analysts as requested.

Education: High school diploma or GED + 2 years additional education
  • A minimum of one year commercial loan support experience
  • Experience with Fiserv Premier banking system
  • High degree of computer literacy, including Excel, Word, Outlook
